A newly launched rental overlay in the supplied research reported hundreds of applications shortly after launch, validating applicant overload and the shareable-link model. No mature paid overlay with a portable renter evidence profile was found, but no relevant interface is verified and live bidding can worsen housing inequity or violate local rules.

Tenantcite lets a landlord publish objective offer fields, screening stages, deadlines and tie-breaking rules before applications open. Applicants see anonymized offer terms and their own status, not another person's identity or sensitive facts. A portable passport carries applicant-approved documents with source and expiry; it never becomes a risk or desirability score.

Offer submission, identity verification, evidence, screening, landlord review, adverse-action process, acceptance, lease signature, deposit and tenancy remain separate. Ranking by rent or move date cannot replace fair-housing review.

The first release should be a no-money sandbox in one counsel-reviewed jurisdiction. It excludes automatic selection, dynamic rent escalation, protected-trait inference, application fees and claims that transparency makes a housing decision fair or lawful.
