Killcord

A runtime control plane for registered agents, capability flags, authorization tiers, recall propagation, enforcement acknowledgments, independent readback, exceptions, and tamper-evident incident history.

The case

Operators need to pause an agent, revoke a capability, move it read-only, or recall a version during an incident. Killcord distributes signed control state to verified enforcement points and measures whether each agent actually applied it. It does not promise universal sub-sixty-second stops, control disconnected or uninstrumented copies, reverse irreversible actions, or prove regulatory compliance with a log. Requested, delivered, enforced, read back, residual work, and recovered are separate states.

Who pays — and why

Platform engineering, security, reliability, AI operations, governance, and product teams running many production agents across heterogeneous environments.

What it unlocks
A live fleet registry for operator, tenant, agent identity and version, deployment, environment, enforcement point, heartbeat, credential, capability, dependency, owner, and coverage
Signed behavior state for active, throttle, read-only, capability-off, approval-required, drain, pause, and recall with sequence, expiry, priority, source, and conflict handling
Measured propagation from control request through distribution, receipt, enforcement, readback, residual in-flight work, credential revocation, scheduled-work cancellation, and recovery
Three-tier action authorization, break-glass procedures, outage defaults, bypass inventory, drills, incidents, corrections, and signed event integrity with explicit blind spots
How Genesis scored it
7.23across seven criteria
tension 7temporal 8blindspot 5buyer 8leverage 8convergence 5why-not 8
8
Temporal window

A current implementation framework and May runtime-control launch create a live window.

8
Buyer persona

Platform, security, and AI operations teams own fleet controls.

5
Convergence

Several connections exist but independent bank convergence remains moderate.

Why it scored well

Current regulatory attention, a confirmed runtime-control product, and a precise production buyer make recall a concrete infrastructure need.

What's holding it back

The cited Chinese framework lacks final engineering specifications, the direct peer can expand, universal propagation is impossible, and heterogeneous enforcement creates high failure risk.
