Create a shortlist from your own roots, with length and naming-style controls. Check a candidate across five domain extensions — free, no sign-up.

## How to use

1. Enter one to six roots that describe your product or its customer. Select a style and maximum length.
2. Choose Generate startup names. Review up to 24 suggestions with the rule behind each name.
3. Choose Check domains on any candidate to query the shared RDAP engine. Export the shortlist and check trademarks separately.

## Scope

Names are suggestions, not trademark clearance. Generation stays local; optional domain checks send only the candidate domains to registries. No per-name pages or AI model.

## FAQ

### Is this free, and do I need an account?

Free, no sign-up. Editing, generation and export run in your browser. No AI model is used. Usage analytics contain only the tool name and action, not your inputs or results.

### Where do domain queries go?

Directly from your browser to fixed registry RDAP endpoints over HTTPS. Registry operators receive domain names and may log them. There is no SaaSCode proxy. CORS was tested on 2026-10-09; if it stops working, the result is unknown, never available.

### Does likely available mean I can buy the domain?

No. It means a registry RDAP 404 was returned for that domain. This is a signal, not a reservation. A registry may reserve names or impose eligibility rules; registration and pricing must be confirmed with a registrar. No affiliate links or third-party price claims appear here.

### Does this use AI or an LLM?

No. It combines your roots with fixed suffixes, prefixes and deterministic blends. The same inputs and options produce the same names. There is no API key, model fee or AI quality claim.

### What styles and lengths can I choose?

Suffix adds endings such as kit, nest or ly. Prefix adds get, use, try, hey or go. Blend combines two different roots or parts of them. Mixed interleaves the methods. Choose at most 8, 12 or 20 characters; fewer results may fit restrictive inputs.

### Are the names unique or legally cleared?

No. Suggestions may match existing companies or trademarks. Domain registration is not trademark clearance. Check relevant trademark registries and legal requirements before adopting a name.

### Does every generated name get a public page?

No. There is one indexable tool page. Names stay in browser state and local exports; generating names creates no URLs. Domains are queried only after you explicitly choose Check domains.
