Vouchpost

An indie and startup agent-identity service that binds a human sponsor to mailbox and credential scopes, brokers short-lived access where supported, records use, and revokes the real downstream authority.

The case

Small teams increasingly give software agents email addresses and service credentials, while current products split mailbox and identity or reserve assurance evidence for higher tiers. Bundling the primitives is useful, but a SOC 2 Type II report cannot exist 'from launch' by product declaration; it depends on an independent audit of the service organization, controls, scope, and review period. Vouchpost should sell verifiable identity, delegation, and revocation first, then share only the assurance report actually earned and applicable.

Who pays — and why

The technical founder, platform engineer, or security owner at an indie or startup team deploying agents that need email and third-party service access.

What it unlocks
A stable agent identity bound to organization, human sponsor, purpose, environment, and expiry
Mailbox policies for allowed correspondents, actions, rate, retention, escalation, and abuse response
Credential brokering with least privilege, short duration where supported, complete use history, and tested revocation
How Genesis scored it
7.48across seven criteria
tension 7temporal 8blindspot 7buyer 8leverage 8convergence 5why-not 7
8
Temporal window

Agent deployment makes dedicated identity and credential boundaries immediately useful.

8
Buyer persona

Technical founders and platform or security owners have a concrete agent-access job.

5
Convergence

The input has several inbound links but limited cross-reference support.

Why it scored well

A clear developer buyer, confirmed split competitors, two available primitives, and an indie assurance gap support a coherent bundle.

What's holding it back

One capability remains unverified, assurance cannot be promised before audit, email and secret custody create high operational risk, and incumbents can add adjacent functions.
