A road-segment analysis service that tests spectral-smear vehicle detections against a validated road-regime corpus and returns counts, motion estimates, coverage, and uncertainty per satellite pass.
Public satellite bands are captured at slightly different times, creating a measurable spectral displacement when a vehicle moves between captures. Academic work and two public repositories support the physics, but the input does not verify the ingestion or road-network interfaces and does not establish production accuracy across road regimes. Smearscan is therefore a benchmark-first road-activity data product: every result carries imagery provenance, coverage limits, validation regime, and confidence rather than presenting an estimate as ground truth.
