The case

SMBs sending marketing and transactional email through infrastructure providers can discover reputation, authentication or placement problems only after engagement drops or complaints rise. Inboxgrade assembles current domain evidence and controlled seed observations, explains uncertainty, and evaluates an immutable send candidate against customer policy before returning allow, warn, hold or human-review advice. A seed result is not inbox probability for every recipient, authentication is not consent or deliverability, a pre-send score is not a guarantee, and the product never blocks urgent transactional mail without a customer-defined fail-safe and authorized decision.

Who pays — and why

The marketing-operations, lifecycle, growth or technical email owner at a ten-to-one-hundred-employee business sending through its own email infrastructure provider.

What it unlocks
One domain history across provider-independent authentication, reputation and seed observations
A cited pre-send risk packet with customer-owned warn, hold and override policy
Outcome monitoring that separates provider acceptance, delivery, placement, engagement and complaint

9
Buyer persona

The technical email or lifecycle owner at a small business is a highly actionable role and segment.

8
Asymmetric leverage

Tests and policy evaluation scale through software once the seed network and interfaces exist.

5
Convergence

The source records one cross-reference mention and no inbound connections before the grounded score.

Why it scored well

A precise SMB email owner, confirmed reputation interfaces and a specific pre-send policy gate make the workflow and software leverage strong.

What's holding it back

The barrier that kept the product unbuilt is weak, one of three interfaces is unverified, seed networks and reputation history are operationally costly, direct adjacent competitors exist and no structural incumbent barrier is proven.
